Aftercare for Dermaplaning
Some of my clients who have more sensitive skin experience a slight redness immediately after dermaplaning, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within a few hours.
While there is no necessary aftercare post-dermaplaning, I do have a few recommendations.
In the 24-48 hours following your dremaplane treatment, I recommend avoiding sun exposure AND any products containing acid or retinol on the skin.
You should also avoid the application of heavy makeup for a few hours after your treatment.
Lastly, it’s essential to protect your freshly exfoliated skin with a high-quality moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen, as your skin might be more sensitive to the sun’s harmful UV rays.
