How To Use

• Step 1: Start with a clean face. Always wash your face before applying any mask. This removes oil, leftover SPF, and daily buildup so your mask can actually penetrate the skin.

• Step 2: Scoop a small amount of your face mask directly onto the mask brush bristles.

• Step 3: Using the face mask brush applicator, apply your mask in smooth, upward strokes starting at the center of your face and working outward.  

• Step 4: Apply a thin, even layer across your entire face. You do not need a thick coat. One of the main advantages of applying face masks with a brush is that a little product goes a long way.

• Step 5: Leave the mask on for the time specified on your product (usually 15-30 minutes). Remove with a warm, damp cloth.

• After each use: I recommend rinsing the bristles under lukewarm water and gently massaging with your fingertips to remove product residue. The Taklon fibers were made to be easy to clean and quick to dry. 

• Deep clean your brush weekly: Using a small drop of gentle facial cleanser, lather the bristles between your fingers, rinse thoroughly, and reshape the bristles. I recommend washing the brush in-between product use as well. 

• Drying: Always lay the mask brush flat or hang the bristle-side down to dry.  

• Mask Brush Storage: I recommend keeping your brush in a dry place away from direct sunlight.  

• Avoid: Sharing your brush between users or soaking the brush in water. A simple rinse after each use with a gentle soap or facial cleanser is all you need to keep your mask brush clear. I recommend against using harsh cleaning products or cleansers on your mask brush.

   • Yes, you should always wash your face before using your mask. Applying a face mask to skin that has sunscreen, makeup residue, or excess oil on it significantly reduces how well the mask or product itself can work. Cleanse your face first, then apply your mask using the brush applicator for best results.

2. What masks can I use with this mask brush?

   • This face mask brush applicator works with virtually any mask or product formula. Clay masks, kaolin masks, enzyme masks, hydrating gel masks, brightening masks, exfoliating masks, you name it.    • No, this is not a silicone mask brush, and that's intentional. While silicone face mask brushes are popular, they can be slippery, create drag on the skin, and don't distribute product as evenly. Our mask brush uses soft Taklon fiber bristles, which mimic professional makeup brush fibers and provide a much smoother, more controlled product application than a silicone face mask brush.

4. Can I use this brush for products other than masks?

   • You can absolutely use this custom mask brush for products other than face masks. This mask applicator works well for applying makeup, serums, chemical exfoliants, or any treatment you'd rather not apply directly with your hands. It's especially useful for active ingredients like AHAs or BHAs, where minimizing hand contact is a good practice.

5. How often should I clean my mask brush?

   • I recommend cleaning your mask brush after every single use. Since this brush comes in contact with both your skin and your product, it can harbor bacteria if not cleaned regularly.
