We’re providing answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below.

What is a Lash Lift

A lash lift works with your natural lashes to create a luscious semi-permanent curl that will last between 6-8 weeks. We use a technique combining a lifting lotion and silicone rods to lift your natural lashes, making them look longer and fuller. We recommend lash lifts as a great alternative to eyelash extensions.

How to Prep for a Lash Lift

Prior to your treatment, please make sure your eyes are free of makeup, mascara, and false eyelashes. If you use Latisse or another lash serum, please stop product use for 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. Lastly, if you wear contact lenses please make sure they are removed prior to treatment.

Lash Lift “Don’ts” in the First 24 Hours after Treatment

  • Don’t get your eyelashes wet

  • Don’t apply mascara or eye makeup

  • Don’t sweat

  • Don’t go into a sauna

  • Don’t use oil-based products

  • Don’t rub your eyes

Why Can’t I Get My Eyelashes Wet After a Lash Lift?

It’s best to avoid any type of moisture to your lashes for at least 24 hours following your lash treatment. It’s best to avoid any type of moisture to your lashes for at least 24 hours following your lash treatment. This is because in the immediate hours after the lift, the lashes are returning to a normal PH level. Water, mascara, etc. can weigh down the lashes and compromise the lift that was set via the chemical change from your treatment. Think of it as being similar to getting your hair done at the salon. You wouldn’t want your hair to get rained on after leaving the salon as it would cause the hair to go flat - water would have similar effects to your newly lifted eyelashes.

How Long Does a Lash Lift Last?

A lash lift will last about 6-8 weeks (sometimes longer) depending on aftercare. Following the aftercare instructions given above for the first 24 hours after your treatment will help with longevity. In addition, we recommend brushing your lashes in an upright position anytime following a shower (or after getting your lashes wet) to help keep the shape of them.

Brow Lamination FAQs

Brow lamination FAQ

What is a Brow Lamination

Eyebrow lamination is the latest beauty secret that will thicken and enhance your natural brows. Similar to the idea of a lash lift, brow lamination involves the application of a setting lotion that gives the brow hair a semi-permanent “brushed up” and lifted look. Whether you have thin, thick, or over plucked eyebrows, brow laminating is the perfect solution to give you the everyday look you want, without effort.

How to Prep for a Brow Lamination

Prior to your brow lamination appointment, we recommend the following:

  • Avoid using exfoliants, retinoids, or AHAs on your face for one to two weeks before your brow lamination

  • Avoid tweezing at least one week prior to your appointment (if you’re interested, we do offer the option to add on a brow wax to your lamination appointment)

  • Please come to your appointment without any makeup on your face

Brow Lamination “Don’ts” in the First 24 Hours after Treatment

  • Don’t get your eyebrows wet (avoid the shower & bath)

  • Don’t go into a sauna

  • Don’t use oil based products

  • Don’t apply heavy creams, makeup, or makeup remover to your brows

  • Don’t sleep directly on your brows (we know, easier said than done for our stomach sleepers)

Why Can’t I Get My Brows Wet After a Lamination?

Similar to a lash lift, keeping your brows dry in the 24 hours following your lamination treatment is very important. During the lamination process, we use an assortment of creams as well as a permanent gel to relax and shape your brows. If you get your eyebrows wet too soon after we finish applying these products, your brows do not have a chance to set with their new shape.

How Long Does a Brow Lamination Last?

A brow lamination will last about 6 weeks (again, depending on aftercare). Be sure to follow the “Don’ts” mentioned above in the first 24 hours following your treatment for longevity. In the 48 hours following your treatment, you can apply a hydrating balm or a castor oil to your brows daily. We also recommend brushing your brows in an upright/styled position anytime following a shower (or after getting your brows wet) to help keep their new shape.
