Face Masks I Love

February feels like a month of self-care for me: I *love* spending extra time {during the shortest month of the year} getting my skin and my routine prepped for Springtime. My favorite addition to my routine? A face mask - you know a mask is always a part of #SelfcareSunday. Face masks aren’t just an amazing skincare step that can answer 90% of your skin concerns, they’re a self-care moment. Pairing a face mask with a little bit of relaxation is just one more way for you to say, “thanks” to yourself for all the hard work you do.

Here are some of my favorite face masks to enjoy in any given week {depending on what my skin is like, of course}:

Best Face Mask To Calm Inflammation

If you are dealing with any inflammation, irritation, or redness, hands down the best mask option to soothe your skin is the Rhonda Allison Milk Mask.

If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve probably heard me speak to the ingredients of this mask {they are next to none}. It uses milk proteins to provide calming and soothing hydration to dry, inflamed skin. Additionally, it’s formulated with colostrum, which is a nutrient-dense milk precursor that helps restore nutrients to the skin. This mask truly is amazing for all skin types but is built to promote healing and hydration for those who really need it.

Pro Tip: Add this product to your skincare routine to combat the end-of-winter dryness and head into spring with fully hydrated skin! Plus this can be a great option to heal skin if you ever get a sunburn - the vitamin E in this mask provides healing powers to help your skin rebuild after being burned. You can purchase online or in-store at Gameela Skin.

Best Face Mask For Dehydrated Skin

Dehydrated skin IS the worst. Makeup doesn’t sit well, your skin feels tight, and flakiness can cause an uneven complexion.

This is all too common in the winter and early spring months {especially when this AZ weather gives us all whip lash}. Luckily the amazing ingredients in the Rhonda Allison Grape Seed Mask provide a lasting solution and BIG results.

This extremely hydrating mask uses shea butter to provide hydrating relief, all while infusing wine extracts {yep, you read that right} for vital antioxidant support. These ingredients help firm, strengthen, and hydrate your skin - all of which will help combat the icky side effects of dehydrated skin.

Best Face Mask To Boost Tired Skin

Too little sleep, not enough water, pollution from traveling - these are all items that can ware on your skin {and overall health}. While I’m not here to dish out health advice, I can help you in the skin department.

My favorite mask to combat tired skin {and to give my skin a refresh} is the Whish Beauty Blue Matcha Mask. This mask is rich in antioxidants, which help provide restorative properties when applied to your skin.

How does it truly restore tired skin? For starters, the ingredients work to even out the pH of your skin. Additionally, the matcha provides a small dose of caffeine to your skin. Both of these elements leave your skin looking {& feeling} refreshed.

This mask gets bonus points for creativity: it goes on blue and the color will fade as the mask works. Once the color has completely faded, you’ve received all your benefits and the mask can be rinsed. How cool is that?

Best Face Mask To Brighten Your Complexion

Looking to brighten your complexion and feel absolutely luxurious during your at-home face masking? {if you aren’t raising your hand, check your priorities}. I have a mask recommendation that is definitely worth the splurge.

The Illuminating Gold Mask by D’Isolana Skincare provides a highly revitalizing and soothing experience that, in my opinion, is worth it. This mask has a long list of unique ingredients - It’s formulated with precious particles of colloidal gold, silver, and camel milk. Plus, it has unique ingredients like hyaluronic acid, red grape extract, white clay, thermal water, & more.

All of these ingredients help fight against free radicals and collagen depletion, meaning that this mask will help increase cell turnover and brighten your complexion, all to help keep you looking refreshed and radiant {a win}.

This mask was developed by my friend, Jen Esposito, the owner & founder of D’Isolana Skincare. Her brand promotes products that are not just skin-deep - but are all about the health of our largest organ: the skin! This luxurious, restorative mask {pictured below} is available for online purchase here

Enhance Your At-Home Face Mask

The first step in your face mask journey is also one of the most critical: the application. You can pick the best face mask in the world, but if you apply the mask with dirty hands, all the benefits of masking could be ruined by oils and other contaminants on your hands.

I love to apply my masks with a brush applicator! This custom-made mask brush applicator {available to purchase at Gameela Skin} was made by me for YOU!

The benefits?

  • A mask brush applicator is a more hygienic approach to at-home skincare. It leaves less room for contamination from your hands and nails.

  • It helps you SAVE product, as it won’t absorb any product like your hands would. And, trust me, you won’t want to waste a single drop of any of these masks.

  • The brush helps to apply the product evenly, giving you even better results!

  • Plus, it’s extremely easy to clean. The soft Taklon fibers will feel great on your face and rinse off quickly after application.

This applicator elevates your at-home mask experience and makes your self-care moments almost as luxurious as if you were in-studio at Gameela Skin.
